A nineteenth century listed terrace in Oswestry town centre has been brought to market following the appointment of Colin Jennings of Edward Symmons LLP as Law of Property Act (LPA) receiver on the property.
Date of Press Release: 9|5|2011
35 Pensons Chambers, which fronts Willow Street close to its junctions with Welsh Walls and Castle Street, is a Grade II listed mid terrace originally constructed as a town house for celebrated architect, Thomas Penson (born 1790). It has since played home to the Oswestry Conservative Club and North and South Wales Bank, before being transformed for restaurant/bar use.
Edward Symmons is now seeking potential buyers for the freehold of the property with a guide price of £350,000.
Colin Jennings, LPA Receiver and Head of Edward Symmons North West comments; “This historic property is likely to attract substantial interest as it has in place planning consent for catering use, which can be a difficult to secure change of use to with a listed building. We would encourage interested restaurant and leisure operators to contact us together with those seeking alternative uses.”
