Edward Symmons appointed LPA receivers at Thorpe Park, Leeds

Edward Symmons have been appointed by Capmark Management plc to deploy their asset management and recovery services across 11 office buildings at Thorpe Park, Leeds.

Comprising 1.8 million sq ft of contemporary office space, Thorpe Park is one of the Yorkshire region’s premier out-of-town business destinations. Current occupiers at the development include IBM, WS Atkins, Vinci and Total Gas & Power.

Edward Symmons have been appointed LPA Receivers on the basis that they will hold the properties over the medium term; optimising recovery proceeds through intensive asset management and reducing operational costs over that period.

Robert Stokely, Joint LPA Receiver on the case commented: “We will be utilising our combined asset management and agency expertise to add value to the lending consortium’s investment at Thorpe Park. We are confident of the value that strategic asset management initiatives can add here; specifically refurbishment, intensive and targeted marketing and re-gearing of existing leases”.

Edward Symmons’ Leeds Agency team has been appointed as sole agents in the letting of almost 100,000 sq ft of currently vacant commercial space at the development.
