Edward Symmons LPA Receivers secure £3.755 m sale of residential development opportunity in Chelsea

Richard Haines and Robert Stokely, LPA Receivers from Edward Symmons LLP, have secured the sale of a unique residential development opportunity at 45 Fernshaw Road and 42 Edith Grove, Chelsea to a subsidiary of the Williams Pear Group for £3.755m.

Following the preparation of a detailed planning application for a scheme of mews houses and apartments, numerous enquiries were received, leading to a competitive tender situation at which William Pears Group was the successful party. The purchaser is thought to have secured the properties with the intention of obtaining planning consent for a scheme of affordable housing units to offset requirements on another site within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

Richard Haines comments: “It is rare for residential development opportunities of this nature to come to the market in this part of Chelsea, and despite the lack of planning consent, it generated considerable interest and was sold at a favourable price after a hotly contested bidding process”.
