Acting on behalf of Administrators, Portland Business & Financial Solutions Ltd, Edward Symmons has sold the plant and machinery assets of Loseley Dairy Ice Cream Ltd to an American company for more than £3/4 million.

This follows on from the Administrators’ own sale of the brands, intellectual property of the company and the stock last month. The various sales have realised a total of £1.2m for the creditors of the organisation.

The ice cream company, which went into administration in April 2011, produced ice cream under the brands Loseley, Granelli, Yorkshire Dales and Thayers. It also produced own-brand ice cream for several of the major supermarkets.

Glen Maxwell, Associate at Edward Symmons in Bristol commented: “We were instructed to use our extensive network of international contacts to secure a sale of the specialist food processing machinery from the company’s facility in South Wales, and were pleased to achieve more than three quarters of a million pounds for these assets.”
