UK Administrators of Alkor Venilia GmbH trading as HA Interiors appoint Edward Symmons to liquidate all assets
This week, Edward Symmons has been appointed by Mercer & Hole to liquidate the assets of HA Interiors via an online auction.
Date of Press Release: 30|8|2011
HA Interiors is the UK operation of German company Alkor-Venilia GmbH, which went into Administration in July.
The plant, one of Europe’s leading wall covering manufacturers, is based in Northumberland. It ceased to manufacture in April and the employees were made redundant in July by the Administrators. It was initially marketed as a complete business but no buyers came forward who were willing to inject sufficient capital. The Administrators have now made the decision to instruct specialist property and asset consultants, Edward Symmons to sell the assets via online auction.
The online auction will see the piecemeal sale of the company’s specialist assets including the James Halley and Holweg gravure printing presses and hundreds of design cylinders, various reel slitting, rewinding and packaging machinery, as well as the more general purpose assets including machine tools, measurement equipment, air compressors, IT equipment, office furniture and finished goods stocks.
James Nield and David Swift, the Edward Symmons’ auctioneers running this sale comment: “We will be marketing the business assets to an extensive database of national and international contacts during our online auction which will close on 25 October 2011. We will strive to reach Asia and Eastern Europe with the printing presses and finishing equipment; wheras the general purpose assets will receive a large level of interest from the UK, Europe and beyond. This approach will ensure the maximum returns for the company’s creditors.”
Details for the online sale are available at www.edwardsymmons.com
