The Blackmore Fund acquires the Ramada Hotel, Crewe
Edward Symmons, acting on behalf of The Blackmore Fund, has acquired the Art Deco style Ramada Hotel, Crewe from Ramacourt Limited.
Date of Press Release: 9|9|2011
The 64 bed hotel, built in 2005, fronts onto Macon Way in Crewe town centre, close to Crewe station. The hotel currently operates under a Ramada franchise. Following acquisition, it will be substantially re-configured and re-branded as a Holiday Inn Express hotel, under a Franchise Agreement from Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG). On completion of the conversion the hotel will operate with a total of 70 bedrooms.
The day to day management of the hotel will be undertaken by Chardon Management Limited.
Hugh Anderson, Partner at Edward Symmons’ Manchester office comments, “This represents an ideal opportunity to re-position an established hotel to a more appropriate position in the market place, the Holiday Inn Express brand being an ideal fit for accommodation demand in Crewe.”
